Electromagnetic exposure
The EMF Directive 2004/40/EC requires employers to assess the risk to their employees from exposure to electromagnetic fields. Dependent upon the types of electrical systems in use, an organisation may be able to comply through a simple risk assessment or they may need to carry out more extensive work involving site surveys and technical assessment.
How we can help
We have the expertise and experience in both risk assessment and electromagnetic fields to guide organisations through this process in the most cost effective manner whilst ensuring that the necessary steps are taken to ensure compliance. Our services include:
Checking electromagnetic field levels for compliance with human exposure limits
Assessing EMF compliance of systems via analysis, calculation, modelling and testing
Preparing EMF safety assurance strategies and plans to ensure that systems are compliant and that safe working practices are in place
Assessing the impact of EMF regulations on equipment design and operation
Specifying, managing and/or performing EMF testing activities.
What are the benefits?
